Ceremony
Give your main event a setting to remember. Make a grand entrance on the Grand Staircase, say your vows in the beaux-arts splendor of Samsung Hall or walk down the aisle in the Courts’ natural light. There’s a beautiful space for every ceremony.
Cocktails
Nearly every location in the museum can accommodate a lively cocktail hour. Creative combinations of spaces will give your guests a change of scenery while they sip and socialize.
Dinner & Dancing
Formerly the card catalog room of the public library, the awe-inspiring architecture of Samsung Hall makes for elegant dinners and energetic dance floors. Or transform North or South Court into your own private lounge for a fabulous after-party.

The Dodson Loggia makes a dramatic statement. Adjacent to Samsung Hall, its barrel vaulted ceiling and stately columns overlook the Wilbur Grand Staircase, providing the opportunity for an unforgettable entrance, ceremony and pre-dinner cocktails.

Glass ceilings crown the sleek modernism of Bowes and Bogart Courts. These light, airy spaces span seventy-two feet, and can accommodate ceremonies, cocktails, seated dinners, and dance parties.
Located adjacent to the museum’s special exhibition galleries, Bogart Court often features exhibition-related art and décor.

The Peterson Room is an elegantly appointed lounge with a tranquil garden, located behind Asian Box, the museum’s on-site restaurant. It is the perfect place for a quiet networking event for 50 or seated dinner for 30 guests after public hours, or as a complement to our other spaces for an intimate VIP area.
Asian Box provides menus suitable for a variety of event styles. Events may begin no earlier than 6:00 PM in this space.

Give your guests a window into ancient India, a trek through the Himalayas, a tour of traditional China, and all the cultures in between.
Event planners may choose to add one or more floors of galleries for guests to view. Temporary special exhibitions galleries located on the ground floor, as well as two floors of collection galleries on the second and third floors, are available. Private gallery tours can also be added for an experience that’s one-of-a-kind.
